Social Media

15 days ago, the social media group launched the social websites in order to promote the event. So we created a Facebook page and an Instagram one. we designed the profile picture and the background, started to add people and promoted the event on facebook.

Choosing a poster

My classmates designed different prototypes of posters and these two were the ones I liked the most. However, I prefer the first one because it looks more futuristic and the font is good too. In my opinion, although the font is good, i would still change it for the one I posted o this blog earlier. 

About the second one, I don't like the font of the title as it looks very simple.

Today's taks

I was told to research some social media platforms, i had to evaluate them and compare them and choose the social media that is most suitable for our website.

I was looking at some social media platforms and i found out that the best ones are Facebook and Twitter as are the most famous ones. There are also some tools that help to display ads on Twitter, Tumblr, Google+, Youtube and other platforms.

What mood board did I like the most

I liked Dowhee and Sujin's idea as it shows the space in a fun an creative way by using a gallery. The colours are good as well as blue matches with the sky and space and yellow with the sun, the rest of the colours match with other planets and stars. I would just change the font of the title for something a bit more modern just like the example I posted on the last post. 

FONTS FOR THE WEBSITE

I like this font for our website because is modern, incomplete and minimalist but still easy and fun to read.


These are the symbols using this style of font.

I think this font can match with the idea of space and arts & design at the same time.

Script Font

This poster is using a script font on top and serif font on bottom.
This poster is promoting biscuits pernot, Christmas edition.
The script font is in french and means Flower of the snow.

New back Cambridge Railway Station SketchUp 2

Now, I wanted to design the back of the main building so I sketched it how I wanted it to look like.

Then, I used SketchUp to make it look 3D. 

1: First, I started to draw it by using the 'line' tool and the 'arc' tool.  

2: As it is a curved roof, It will not filled up so I had to make flat triangules within the roof.

3: After having completed the roof, then I used a option to make the lines softer, so they will disappear and make the roof look as if it was one piece.

4: I used the tool 'Paint Bucket' to make it look like glass.
