Eye Bird View (Google Maps)

Cambridge Railway Station (Eye Bird View)

The train station has been having some impairments and restyling, so now it looks completely different as how it was before.

Major Project 2

Floor Plan Cambridge Railway Station
Floor Plan Leicester Railway Station
I had never used AutoCad before for a serious project so I was a bit lost but I got used to it quickly. I used the one for Ipad and it was easy to use. Although it was easy, i spent about two hours on each.
This plan basically show each room such as the Concourse (Main Hall), Ticket Office, Supermarkets, Toilets, Bridges and/or of the station in a real scale. It also show the main entrances and the emergency ones.

Softwares

For the major project, i will be using four softwares.

For the floor plans of the stations, i will be using HomeStyler, AutoCad (IPad) and a train simulator called Trainz (IPad).

HomeStyler:
https://www.homestyler.com/

AutoCad (IPad):
https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/autocad-360/id393149734?mt=8

Trainz Simulator (IPad):

https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/trainz-simulator/id405824661?mt=8

I will use Photoshop for editing the sketches of the front of the stations.

Quotes

I went to the University library and I was told to find some quotes linked to my progression route.

1: "Architecture inevitably suffers casualties in battles over race and class" (Pau Finch. The architects' journal, 29/01/2016, Pag 18, Vol 243, issue 03)
Unfortunately, this means that not everyone can study architecture in the UK because it takes 7 years to get the license and the fees for up to 5 years of education.

2: "When hasting pier went up in smoke, an elegant upgraded structure rose from the ashes" (Jon Astbury, The architectural review, September 2016, Pag 73, Vol 434)
I like this quote because for me this means that any structure can be risen up again and can be better that how it used to be. This quote can be seen after an earthquake hits a city and buildings fall down and after a long period of time, buildings start to rise up again and these will be more modern and well structured.

3: "I believe quite strongly in ideas. I believe in hunting down an idea, the idea will tell you what to do and how to detail something" (Zeitz Mocaa, The Architect's Journal, AJ120, Pag 46)
This quote means that as soon as you think in an idea, it will automatically be developed until it can be achieved.

Evaluating my website

I can say that my website is complete but I still have to post more work related to the major project. In general, my website can be used easily and my progression route can be reflected in it.

About my blog, I still need to post some work that I haven't posted yet and do more research.

Then, I added some interactive pictures about the major project I am doing.

In Gallery, I posted some pictures I have taken.

Finally, I linked my blog account to the website.
