IDEAS FOR MAJOR PROJECT
Having thought a bit more about the project, I decided to change the idea. Now, I will focus on train stations, and basically the idea is to take a picture of the structure from the front and then trying to guess how the back would be like. For this, I will sketch the back of the building and then edit it by using Photoshop and then, I will try to create the plans of the interior by using an online software.
I will also describe the building and giving some information about it and then write a reflection of the entire project.
For this project I will be using pictures taken by me of Leicester train station and Cambridge train station and might take a picture of Kings Cross train station as well.
I will start with Leicester train station and then with Cambridge train station.

Ideas for the major project.
I am still trying to organise the ideas for the major project. One of those is trying to explain some cities I have been to by describing the most important structures such as the airport, the parliament house, the shopping centre, the highest building, the oldest building, the train station, the theatre, the most important church, the roads and/or the seaport and trying to use my own pictures as much as I can.
Below, an example of what this could be.
City: Leicester.
Important Buildings:
1. Leicester Railway Station. (actual station)
2. Cardinal Tower Exchange (highest building)
3. The Jewry wall (oldest building)
4. The Cathedral Church of st. Martin (most important church)
5. Highcross (shopping centre)
6. Curve (theatre)
Then, the idea is to add some pictures of these places trying to be taken by me. Then, describe each building and write a short paragraph about what I think of that building. At the end, I might write a summary describing the process I went through.

Ideas for the individual project
This is the beginning of a new project. I still don't know what to do so I'm going to start adding some pictures related to what I like the most.
1* |
I've always been passionate about travelling. At the age of two, my life as a traveller began as well as the adventures with my family and friends. So far I have travelled to over 15 countries around the world but I would like to increase that number.
2 |
When travelling, I always take pictures of the landscapes and the buildings I find interesting. Personally, I do this because I want to create memories for my future and for the future of my family and friends.
3* |
Buildings are my weakness. When I see one, I start to analyse it and to take some pictures because someday I might find inspiration on it.
4* |
I like to take pictures of cityscapes and landscapes, but when they both are together, it's even better.
5* |
Eco-sustainability and Nature will always be my priority when designing and building a structure.
1: An old passport I used to have.
3: 2000 Ave of Stars, Century city, located in Beverly Hills, L.A., California, USA.
4: Vatican city, Rome, Italy.
5: Gardens of Versailles, Versailles, France.

We were told to create an advert promoting a product related to what we're going to study. In my case, as I am going to study architecture as well as the rest of the group, we decided to promote a software called IBM (Building Information Modeling).

The picture above shows the ideas we had before starting the process of creating an advert.
For creating the advert, we were suggested to use two different Softwares: Photoshop or Picmonkey. At first, we decided to use Picmonkey but it didn't let us edit the image how we wanted to so we used Photoshop instead.
The image above was taken using a Samsung Galaxy S6 edge with professional mode On. ISO: 100, WB: 2800, MP: 16.
Te idea was creating a progression from the drawing, then using the software and finally, the real building.
STEPS.
Step 1: By outlining the section we wanted to change the style.
Step 2:For the second part of the building, we had to choose a filter that looked as if we were using IBM, so we chose Stamp and changed the contrast by changing the light/dark to 25 and the Smoothness to 5.
Step 3: For the last part, we used a filter called Neon Glow. Glow size 5, Glow Brightness 15, Glow Colour Blue.
Step 4: We added the logo onto the picture by dragging it to the place we wanted to and then we added the full name of BIM.
Step 5: Finally, we added two shapes (the ones pointed with the red arrows) taken from the website of the software.
The green shapes are taken from:
FINAL RESULT
This is the final result of the Advert showing the three stages of building a building from the sketch to real by using IMB.
Comparisons with other adverts.
We looked to some adverts before starting to create ours.

This one is similar to what we wanted to show. However, it doesn´t show the sketch.
During this process, I learnt that an advert tells us lots of things about the product that is being represented so next time I see one, I will observe it carefully and in detail. About the creation of the advert, I had never used Photoshop so this was a new rich experience that will help me to develop new ideas in the future without having any barrier in the process of project creation.
REFLECTION
After having done the advert, then we went to the university library to print it, so we used the colour printers to print out the photo in A4 size using photographic paper but we realised that the colours came out darker than we thought.
Then, we had to present the advert to the class using this photo. At the end, we got some comments written by our classmates and teachers.
After having reading the comments, We decided to improve our advert by adding three new signs that represent more what the software does.

Sequencial Images 2 'Water Pollution'
'Water pollution' By: Janis Chan and Santiago Barreto |
It shows the contamination of water reflecting the human being destroying the environment.
After doing this project, I realised that pollution is really bad for the environment and for the water as it slowly kills the aquatic animals and contaminate the water that is drinkable for human beings.

Camera: Ipad Pro
Filters: Black & White
Apps: VSCO and PHOTOGRID
Sequential Images 1 'Pencil Case'
Pencil Case By: Janis Chan and Santiago Barreto
The sequential images above are showing some pens climbing back into the pencil case by themselves.
My group mate, Janis, took the pictures and I was the person that moved the pens before taking each picture. Then, we proceeded to edit them using Apps such as Photogrid to put them together and VSCO to add a vintage style filter.

Introduction
Hello Everyone,
In this Blog I will be posting the work I have done in my class called Digital Arts.
I am a current student at De Montfort University doing Arts & Design's foundation Year and planning to study Architectural Technology in the future.
